Rödupp and Vinnäset are two charming villages located in the northern part of Överkalix municipality, about 15 kilometers north of the central town of Bränna. These villages are situated on either side of the beautiful Kalix River and are known for their scenic surroundings and rich history.
Around 55 people live here, including some families with children.
Rödupp is also home to Sweden's northernmost regular ferry connection, Röduppleden, which is operated by the ferry Carolina Nord.
Rödupp and parts of Vinnäset are equipped with fiber-optic connections, making it possible to work from home.
Both villages have a strong sense of community and offer a range of activities and events for both residents and visitors. In Rödupp, there is a village hall where various activities are sometimes organized, contributing to the village's vibrancy.

To get to the central town of Bränna, you need a car. Currently, there is no public transportation from any of the villages.
In the central town of Bränna, you will find services such as grocery stores, pharmacies, and schools.
The health center is located in Tallvik, about two kilometers north of the central town of Bränna.
